Michael Olivarez, of Alice, Texas, passed away on August 30, 2011, at the age of 40. Michael was born on July 29, 1971, in Alice, Texas. He was a loving son, father, brother, and uncle who will be sadly missed by all. Michael was a 1989 graduate of Alice High School and had lived in McAllen for 11 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melva Anaya Olivarez.

Michael is survived by his mother, Gracie Delgado (Antonio L.) Garza of McAllen, Texas; his father, Oscar (Elaine) Olivarez of Bryan, Texas; three sons, Alec Olivarez and Bryan Olivarez of McAllen, Texas, and Gracen Olivarez of Alice, Texas; four sisters, Christy Barrera of McAllen, Texas, Erika (Jose A.) Cruz of Alice, Texas, Carolyn Olivarez and Monique Olivarez of Bryan, Texas; two brothers, Marshal Olivarez and Eloy Olivarez both of Bryan, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
